On April 28 and 29, 2025, the interdisciplinary NatForWINSENT project team met at the project partner UMIT in Hall in Tirol. The scientists came together to discuss the results of the first two years of their nature conservation research, which was carried out on behalf of the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation (BfN). The findings on the behavior of birds and bats in the vicinity of wind turbines will be included in the final report of the project phase, which will also be published as a BfN script in the second half of the year.

The project team was also pleased that the BfN has provided further funding from the National Species Recovery Program (AHP) to continue the research work in the same team constellation for a further two years until the end of 2026.
