NatForWINSENT-II: Final Report on Phase 2 Published as BfN Publication

In Phase 2 of the NatForWINSENT-II project, changes in the occurrence and behavior of birds, bats, and insects at the WINSENT test site following the installation of the research wind turbines were thoroughly investigated. Comprehensive data collected at the test site prior to the installation of the turbines served as a basis for comparison. This provides initial indications of the impact of the structures and, in some cases, the rotating rotors. The final report on the project, containing the comprehensive analyses, has now been published as BfN-Schriften 765 and is available on the website of the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation (BfN).

The NatForWINSENT-III project is now conducting a detailed investigation into the impact of the operation of the research wind turbines in order to derive concrete conservation measures.
